TCM Presentation @ Web4: the offline rabbit hole

  • Secret Riso Club 122 Central Ave Brooklyn, NY 11221 US (map)

Web4 refers to the next next-generation of the internet, built on away-from-keyboard networks and peer-to-peer sharing. The monthly series invites four presenters to showcase thoughts, work, research, or stories of interest to them at the moment and invites audience members to provide feedback, questions, or paths for continued rabbit-holing.

I will be offering a presentation on: Traditional Chinese Medicine: Common Sense That’s Not So Common

Drink warm water. Wear a scarf. Don’t sleep with your hair wet. These are common sayings that I’ve heard growing up in my Chinese family, and they may even be similar to what you’ve heard in your home across different cultures. Folk remedies are passed down from generation to generation from your parents and elders in your family. Although these practices can seem like dubious superstition, there is more wisdom to it than meets the eye. In this presentation, I will share simple wellness tips and practices to support you during the winter, and why and how that actually works from a Chinese medicine perspective.

Join us for an in-person evening of exploring offline rabbit holes and connection!

Facilitated by Irrelevant Press. Hosted by Secret Riso Club.
Doors open at 7pm, event begins at 7:30pm.
